Which Car Makers Appear Most in Songs

16,500 mentions for top Brand

Which cars are mentioned most in songs? Uswitch.com – the car insurance company – analysed data from lyrics.com to see which car manufacturers get the most mentions in song lyrics. They’ve sent out a list with the number mentions and the artists that mentioned them the most.

The car maker than gets the most mentions in songs is… Mercedes! They had nearly 16 and half thousand mentions! Including Hotel California, and of course Janis Joplins song – Lord won’t you buy me a Mercedes.

Number two was Lamborghin with just under 10,000. Then came Bentley at 8500 – I kinda get that one – Nicki Minaj mentions it in four songs, and Lil Wayne in 11 songs.

Fourth is Ferrari, then Porsche, BMW, Audi and Honda. At ninth was Tesla and rounding off the Top Ten is Rolls-Royce at two and half thousand, and mentioned most by Missy Elliot.

Then you’ve got Bugatti, Maerati, Chevrolet, Lexus, Toyota, McLaren, Nissan, Mazda, Fiat and Aston Martin in the Top 20.

My favourites are Mustang Sally and Little Red Corvette – what about yours?
