“They’re planning vacations here for goodness sake. This is intolerable!” the senator furiously stabbed a finger at a printed leaflet on the table in front of him and shouted at the assembled gathering around him.
In the tension-filled cabinet room, under the soft glow of suspended lights, President Zalor sat sternly at the head of the round, metallic conference table. The room buzzed with the hushed tones of urgent conversations, as advisors and senators consulted on the looming crisis.
President Zalor had been quietly studying the agitated and anxious discussions and debates. Finally, he raised a hand to hush the assembly. “Senator Harvin is correct,” he said, his voice steady but laced with gravity.
