BCG Therapy Session Live – EV Charging, Meh Modern Metal & Ferraris

What do you get when you plug in a Polestar 4 at a supermarket car park, call a mate and go live? One of the most real, raw, and unfiltered chats about the state of cars today

So there I was – sitting in a Morrisons car park in Queensbury, Polestar 4 plugged in, charging away and with time to kill. Time to go live on Instagram. The impromtu session turned into a fun and controversial chat with a sudden surprise guest giving us a sneak peak into some sensational classic cars. A full-blown BrownCarGuy Therapy Session for Petrolheads. I was joined by long-time friend Reza Adil, and later by David from Huxley Automotive, who casually walked us around a garage full of jaw-dropping classics.

It started with the Polestar

Let’s be honest. The Polestar 4 is quick. Very quick. 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds. That’s faster than many supercars from just a few years ago. But no drama. No soundtrack. No engagement. It’s like being flung forward by an app. And don’t even get me started on the rear-view “mirror” that’s not a mirror. It’s a screen. A screen, I tell you. Cue a whole discussion about digital mirrorssurveillance cameras in cars, and whether your daily commute now doubles up as a privacy risk.

Ferraris, Privacy & Why Modern Cars Are Watching You

Reza was concerned about the creeping tech that’s turning vehicles into data-collection machines. There’s a camera watching the driver. There’s lane-keeping assistance fighting your inputs. There’s software asking if you want to “agree to data sharing”. And soon, they’ll be rating your driving and your mood. Are cars still ours – or are we just passengers in a UX beta test?

Enter David from Huxley Automotive, who dropped in from his private storage facility (a sort of Batcave for cars) to show us proper motoring royalty – a stunning Ferrari 348 Competizione, restomodded Porsches, and a classic BMW CS getting a full rebuild. In a world full of electric sameness, this is what excitement looks like.

BrownCarGuy Therapy Sessions

So, should we make this a series?
🚨 Regular Therapy Sessions for petrolheads?
🚨 Rants from the road?
🚨 Guests, garage tours, car confessions?

Let me know in the comments, DMs, or carrier pigeon – your feedback fuels the madness.

Modern cars might be fast, efficient, and sustainable – but where’s the theatre? The soul? The connection? If you’re sitting in your car wondering why you’re not excited anymore, maybe what you need is a BrownCarGuy Therapy Session.
