Buy a classic car before all this technology and let the manufacturers have copious amounts of egg on their face when they can’t sell cars with spy tech. They should not be spying on us in the first place!
This is nothing new. I have a friend in Trinity House who has a colleague who makes extra money repairing household items including mobile phones. He has found tracking devices and spyware (the latter to study the owner’s buying habits etc) and he removes them whilst sorting out the appliance for the customer. On one occasion, the phone provider contacted the young girl staff member about her phone claiming it was not working and could she bring it in. She told them nothing was wrong. When they insisted she countered them with the fact it had a spying device on it and the repairman found it. I’ve no idea what happened next on the conversation front but suffice to say the girl has permanently ceased using mobile phones!
I will stick to my Ford Mondeo 2.0Litre ‘Ghia’ Estate and also any other classic Ford I buy (Capri, please!) to avoid ‘vehicle espionage’ and having my old mobile phone checked as well.
