What makes our COTY Awards special

A number of people have asked me about our Motoring Middle East awards lately as we’ve just started revealing the winners: http://bit.ly/MME2015COTY. 

They are quite simply, like no other Car of the Year awards, because they don’t have to conform to categories or even a set number of accolades – last year we had 12 winners, this year only 10. 

Between us we test over 80 cars a year on average at MME, and we pick only the handful that really stood out, that got under our skin and burned themselves into our neural pathways. 

That’s what makes these winners special and the bespoke hand made MME trophies (by Mohammed Ibrahim and his team at East Coast Customs) utterly priceless. 

We didn’t choose these cars because they totalled up well on a clipboard or out of a sense of worthy logic. We chose them because our hearts told us too. 

That makes these cars truly great and the MME COTY the only one that really matters.
