Kia EV6 Full Review

Full written and video review of the all-new Kia EV6 in both RWD and AWD guises

It makes sense. Korean companies Hyundai and now Kia, appear to be leap-frogging more recognised and established car makers in the race to create desirable, usable and quality electric cars. The 2022 Kia EV6 has just gone on sale, and is Kia’s version of Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 – kind of. Discrepancies in dimensions and battery packs, maintain sufficient distinction to present these as very different offerings.

2022 MG ZS EV

Better Styling & 273 mile range!

Check out the new updated MG ZS EV and it looks rather neat at the front. They’ve done away with the grille altogether with a concept car style stamped-effect fascia. It gets a new 72kWh battery pack which improves the range from 163 miles to 273 miles – which is impressive. But a 51kWh battery will also be offered with a 198 mile range, which is still better than before.

VW ID. LIFE Concept [Wood Paint & Mobile Cinema]

Checking out the new ‘affordable’ EV concept from Volkswagen

Volkswagen is churning out electric cars right now. And it helps that they have their modular electric drive matrix platform – dubbed MEB, on which they can pretty much put any body. So the latest car they have showcased, which is a concept car for now, is said to indicate what their small and affordable family electric car might be like. This is called the ID. Life. Now when we say affordable, they’re not joking, They’re talking about a 20,000 Euro price – about £17,000.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Review [Electric Car]

It’s a big first for Ford in many ways, and a couple of firsts for this V8 Mustang-loving EV sceptic too

There’s a number of firsts here. This is the first mass-market car-maker’s first fully electric vehicle. It’s also the first dedicated electric car from Ford rather than the ‘electric version’ of a regular combustion-engined car. Plus the first electric car to bear the name ‘Mustang’ (though one suspects not the last) and the first time an electric car has adopted the alias and, to some extent, assumed the persona of a muscle car. Which, if you think about it, should essentially be its absolute antithesis, arch-nemesis even!

2021 Mini Electric Review

I only wanted you to charge the bloody batteries!

Are you charged up for ‘The Electric Job’? If not, move on because this Mini is not all it seems. Yes it looks a cheeky chappy, yes the drive will be familiar and yes it’s quick, but there’s no exhaust pipe, the grill is blanked out, and there are bright yellow ‘e’ badges splattered about, including on the fuel cover which now accepts not gasoline but gigawatts. Great Scott!

Peugeot E-208 Review

It’s fun and futuristic – so surely it makes sense as an electric car?

The Peugeot 208 is a great little car. Reasonably practical for its size, the best built that Peugeot’s have ever been, featuring a futuristic dashboard and instrument panel that would shame a Lamborghini, sensible economy and an engaging and fun drive that works hard to make you think it’s a hot hatch – there isn’t really one in the range yet.
