Bloomsbury Classic Car Show 2025

Rare Icons, Hidden Gems & A Sinatra Surprise!

Some Sundays are simply better than others – especially when you find yourself wandering through Bedford Square, London, surrounded by the finest collection of classic cars this side of Bicester Heritage. Yes, this is the inaugural Bloomsbury Classic Car Show 2025, and it didn’t disappoint.

From the moment I reached the square, it was pure automotive heaven. We’re talking everything from stately Jaguars and elegant Ferraris to quirky Bond Bugs and a DeLorean complete with Back to the Future props (hoverboard included, of course). Oh, and did I mention the BMW E30 that tugged painfully at my heartstrings? Yes, still missing mine…

But this year wasn’t just about the cars – it was about the culture. Case in point: the brilliant @chukumasings giving us a soulful live rendition of Fly Me to the Moon (yes, the Sinatra classic from the Apollo era), right there in Bedford Square. As if that wasn’t cool enough, Chukuma also happens to own a delightful 1971 VW Karmann Ghia, which was proudly on display. Cars, music, people – that’s what makes shows like this so special.

Highlights? Too many to list. The Facel Vega, a Dino 308 GT4 that’s finally finding love in the market, the Citroën SM (still criminally underrated), and a Jensen Interceptor once driven by Mark Wahlberg in All the Money in the World. Talk about provenance.

The Bloomsbury Classic Car Show might not be the biggest on the calendar, but it’s one of the most charming. Tucked away in the historic Georgian square, a very short walk from Tottenham Court Road station, it’s a slice of motoring magic in central London – part concours, part garden party, part time machine.

Well done to Darren Sullivan and team for organising this terrific car show.
