Cars are brilliant, but it’s the stories behind them that really elevate them to special. This 1977 Vauxhall Chevette is a restomod project car that will feature Mazda MX-5 running gear, and belongs to the legendary Automotive Artist, Ian Cook, PopBangColour. It was his uncle’s car, and as a kid, Ian recalls that Christmas really began with arrival of this car, with the gifts filling the boot. In this touching interview and walkaround, you can see how important this humble brown Chevette is to the famed artist and witness his emotional and sentimental attachment to this wonderful car.
