YouTube Space in Dubai next year

YouTube to open a ‘YouTube Space’ in Dubai Studio City Q2 of 2017.

The ‘Incubator Space’ is aimed at helping content creators across the MENA region with tools and guidance. That includes access to studios and audio/visual equipment as well as training and workshops.

YouTube Spaces already exist in LA, London, Tokyo, New York, Berlin, Sao Paolo, Mumbai, Toronto & Paris.

Since the first Space was launched in 2012, YouTube says 150,000 worldwide have attended over 19,000 hours of workshops with over 15,000 videos created achieving 165 millions hours of watch time.

I wonder if it will actually be as helpful to people like us as they make out? Also it would be great if the Studio City tie-up facilitates easier filming and content creation locally.
