Arnie, Knight Rider & BMW i Vision Dee!

Talking cars from the future, or classics and romance from the past?

BMW uploaded this video three days ago to promote the reveal of its latest concept car the i Vision Dee. It features a futuristic concept car arguing with Arnold Schwarzenegger, a young romance, and a cameo from David Hasselhoff back in the black T-Top Trans Am as the Knight Rider. It’s a bit weird frankly.

BMW Z4 sDrive30i Review

Convertibles and roadsters still have life in them yet – you all have to go tell BMW

This BMW exists thanks to Toyota. Yep! BMW has had the Z1, the Z3 and even the Z8. Then they replaced the Z3 with the Z4, which subsequently got a successor. Soon though, the Munich massive lost interest and were looking to send the Zs to sleep permanently – ‘nobody buys roadsters anymore’ came the edict from the bean-counter department.

Audi Q3 Sportback 45 TFSI Quattro

Better looking than an Q3 – but is it less practical?

The Audi Q3 Sportback is a sleeker, sportier looking version of the Q3 family SUV – you could go as far as to describe the Sportback as a Crossover rather than a SUV. The coupe-like profile reveals bulging flanks that give it a more meatier and muscular stance. It looks bigger than a Q3, but while it is indeed slightly longer, it’s actually, somewhat surprisingly, narrower. However lowering the roofline by nearly five centimetres appears to have done the trick of radically altering its visual presence and certainly enhancing its appeal.

From Nicholas Cage’s Eleanor in Gone in 60 Seconds, to Will Smith’s Shelby in I Am Legend, to James Bond’s Mach 1 in Diamonds are Forever.

Review: BMW X6

Does a BMW heart still beat beneath all that bulk?

The new X6 arrived this year in the wake of the all-new X5 introduced in 2019. Now in its third generation, this is the ‘coupe’ version of its more traditionally upright and uptight SUV sibling – the so-serious X5. However the X6 eschews the much-trodden path of merely taking a grinder to the upper rear of a boxy SUV, and not stepping back until the rear roof has been squashed and reshaped into a more flowing profile – AKA the fastback boot.
