The brand-new Kia K4 is coming to the UK in 2025… and here’s the shocker: it’s available with a petrol engine AND a six-speed manual gearbox!
At a time when most carmakers are rushing towards full electrification, Kia is bucking the trend by giving driving enthusiasts something they thought was gone forever – a proper manual transmission in a brand-new model.
The Kia K4 arrives from Mexico with bold styling, cutting-edge tech, and class-leading practicality. Powertrain options start with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol (115PS), available with either a manual or mild-hybrid DCT, and go up to a 1.6-litre T-GDi (180PS). Beyond the engines, the K4 features Kia’s striking Opposites United design, twin 12.3-inch displays, advanced driver assistance systems, wireless smartphone integration, and even a Harman Kardon audio system.
But the headline here is clear: in 2025, when manuals are almost extinct, Kia is proving there’s still a place for petrol power and three pedals.
