New 2022 Series 10 of Car S.O.S (the car show with a heart!) begins on Thursday 10th March on the National Geographic Channel. See my exclusive interview with TV presenters Tim Shaw & Fuzz Townshend 🤩 They talk about the new series and hint at a future evolution of the show! It’s a landmark 10th series, almost a decade on from when they first started in 2013, and they are also doing their 100th car in these series – with an electric conversion. Celebrity guests include Sir Paul McCartney, football legend David Beckham plus TV mechanic and motoring specialist Edd China and Emmerdale actress Natalie J. Robb.

I’d seen a couple of scathing reviews of Hyperdrive, the new motor racing competition show on Netflix, and been almost entirely put off. Nonetheless, when it popped up on my home screen, I thought I’d take a sneak peak anyway – that peak lasted the full 10 episodes. I was absolutely hooked!
All the naysayers are wrong, here’s why. Don’t worry – there are no spoilers ahead (you’ll thank me for that!).

#ThrowBackThursday to my first ever video car review from around 15 years ago.
The most recent episode I shot for The Autocrats featured a Mercedes G-Wagon, Enoc and Thanos! Can’t believe we crammed so much into 10 minutes. Well done to the production team.
My review of the new Lincoln Navigator on The Autocrats ME featured on FOX MENA region network. Also in this is my buddy Bear Garcia, master car customiser and formerly of West Coast Customs and Pimp My Ride. Plus disappearing kids!
TV may not have quite the cache it used to, but everyone would still like to be on the small screen if they could. But unlike say, YouTube videos, which can be knocked out on your phone and uploaded minutes later – a bit like my behind-the-scenes VLOG from yesterday below – filming for TV takes a ridiculous amount of effort and work.

I just watched the first episode of new, new Top Gear (although that should probably be new, new, new, new, new… for me, since I’ve been watching it from way back when good old William Wollard presented it – who else remembers him?).
Anyway I’m feeling right smug, innit?
