Should the Japanese giants merge? What would it mean for the auto-industry?

It’s not every day you hear two automotive giants like Honda and Nissan mentioned in the same sentence with the word “merger.” But that’s exactly what’s happening, according to a report from Nikkei. Two of Japan’s biggest car manufacturers are reportedly in preliminary talks to join forces, and if this goes ahead, it could be one of the biggest shake-ups the car industry has seen in decades.

The Honda Jazz loves to riff, innovating with magic seats that mixed ample cargo height into the capacious cabin, through the simple idea of lifting its rear seat base for more room. For the latest fourth generation edition it’s playing a new hybrid tune – the only flavour you can have it in. A 1.5-litre petrol e:HEV which is like a hybrid of hybrids. It features innovation not so simple in concept, but still devilishly clever.

Honda E Review

Is this the city-wise electric car we’ve been waiting for?

Honda has previously said that it plans to provide an entirely electrified range in Europe by 2022 – yes that’s next year. By electrified we mean either hybrid or fully electric. However the only fully electric vehicle from the Japanese car manufacture is the little Honda E introduced last year.
