Review: Fiat 500X 3cyl Manual

Most of us are cute when we’re babies. And then we grow up.

However some fortunate few manage to retain that adorability even as they mature. In the car world, that’s the 500X. If every time you happen upon a Fiat 500 you just want to pick it up and cuddle it, then you’ll like its bigger brother, the 500X. Okay, you may not want to pick it up – it looks firmly within its puppy-fat phase – but you’ll want to pull its cheeks (fenders) and pat it on the head (roof).

Honda HR-V Sport Review – compact SUV with magic rear seats

Check out the practicality and magic seats on the HR-V!

We all love the Honda CR-V, so much so that it’s the world’s fifth best-selling car! I’ve owned one myself. It has however grown bigger and pricier over the years. What if you want the image, reliability and build quality of the Honda marque, but need something a little more compact, but no less usable? The answer is easy and presents itself on this page – the Honda HR-V.

DS 3 Crossback Review

Compact Crossover offers Captivating Style!

If you want style and panache from a car you might want to take a look at European brands that are funnelling the essence of continental catwalk fashion into the themes and aesthetics of their automobiles. Review: Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione 180bhp

Don’t be fooled by its diminutive size, this is one feisty little hot hatch

Remember Rhino the hamster-in-a-ball who is a fan of, and then befriends, Bolt the supposed superdog in the 2008 Disney movie? Rhino is tiny and tubby, but a powerhouse of passion, puissance and pluck; naive about the world, unshakeable in self-belief, and unconcerned about any notion of conventionality.

That’s who this crazed and not-so-cuddly-and-cute, Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione, reminds me of.

Toyota Aygo Review

Check out my review of the Toyota Aygo – a fun package with a tight fit!

This is the 2019 Toyota Aygo in X-trend spec which is actually new for this year. It gets the 15-inch machined alloys and the red accents on the sills, bumper and mirrors, which are cool. Even cooler is the optional canvas full length power roof – in the summer it’s like driving a baby four-seater convertible!

FlashBackFriday to when I first drove a Civic Type-R

As I’m testing the current Honda Civic Type-R here’s the pants-soiling story of when I first drove one!

#FlashBackFriday to the first time I drove a Type-R – it was at the UK launch of the EP3 Civic Type-R in 2001 on the Isle of Man, where we got to thrash it on the TT Course with the roads closed off just for us, and Police Honda Accord Type-R sweep cars – although perhaps not quite ‘closed’ enough!
