MG HS Review

Range-topping SUV is spacious and well-kitted out

What is an MG HS? Well it’s the third model to join the current MG line-up in the UK, a medium-sized SUV, and sits at the top as the flagship model – think of it as a rival to the Nissan Qashqai or Kia Sportage. At 4.5 metres long and two metres wide it has a large presence made more substantial by that grille, with its concave, rather trippy mesh design and the biggest MG logo badge ever seen on a car to sit at the centre of it.

Review: BMW X6

Does a BMW heart still beat beneath all that bulk?

The new X6 arrived this year in the wake of the all-new X5 introduced in 2019. Now in its third generation, this is the ‘coupe’ version of its more traditionally upright and uptight SUV sibling – the so-serious X5. However the X6 eschews the much-trodden path of merely taking a grinder to the upper rear of a boxy SUV, and not stepping back until the rear roof has been squashed and reshaped into a more flowing profile – AKA the fastback boot.

Boxing Champ Anthony Joshua celebrates 50 years of Range Rover

World heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, is helping Land Rover mark the golden jubilee of the Range Rover. The company has created a giant piece of sub-zero art at its cold weather test facility in Arjeplog, close to the Arctic circle in Sweden. The 260m-wide artwork filled the centre of the steering pad at the test track where all future Land Rover models are put through their paces during development.
