Ford Transit Custom Van PHEV Review

Check out my quick drive review of the Hybrid Transit van

Here’s my quick drive review of the latest plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the current Ford Transit van. We don’t normally review vans and commercial vehicles on this channel, but it’s interesting to get an insight into how far vans have come and developed in terms of ease of driving, noise vibration harshness (NVH) and refinement and quality. There’s a quick look at the space available, the front compartment, but mostly it’s about the drive and the something of a surprise reaction on throttle application! Should I review more commercial vehicles? Follow #BCGFordTransit

Ford Ranger Raptor Review

The Ranger Raptor is the Ford Mustang of the pickup world, and I’ll prove it.

This is the Ford Ranger Raptor – I like to give it its full name wherever possible, because there is of course, The Raptor, (no, not the theropods from the Cretaceous Period) I mean the big bad Ford F-150-based monster pickup. That comes with a 450bhp, 3.5-litre V6, though not to the UK, it doesn’t.

Ford Puma Review

Check out my full review of the Puma reincarnation

Yes, there was a Ford Puma in the late 90s. Yes, it was a two-door sporty little thing. No, this new Puma is not quite the same. But yes, there is some shared DNA. And something else, both are recipients of great acclaim and numerous awards.

Ford Mustang Bullitt Edition Review

There simply isn’t a cooler brand new car on sale right now

I never miss an opportunity to get behind the wheel of one of the most evocative and iconic nameplates in automotive history – a Ford Mustang. For well over half a century this has been the coolest ride on the block, it features in more movies and TV shows – not to mention – social media posts – than any other car. From Nicholas Cage’s Eleanor in Gone in 60 Seconds, to Will Smith’s Shelby in I Am Legend, to James Bond’s Mach 1 in Diamonds are Forever.

Ford Kuga PHEV Review

Family-friendly SUV that looks cool and merely sniffs at fuel

It’s about as fresh and woke as an SUV can get. Swoopy styling, Focus underpinnings, and clever future tech that’ll get you a claimed 200mpg – this writer bears witness to nearly 100mpg in the real world – at least for a while. The Kuga has come a long way, cue wavy lines to inset a quick history lesson…
