Now in the 80s and 90s I used to watch a LOT of Bollywood movies – not so much now, as frankly, they were better back then. Technically the newer movies are brilliant, but they can’t match the 70s/80s/90s for stories, script and acting, particularly when it came to Amitabh Bachchan.
So last weekend I saw the latest instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise – Fast and Furious 9- Cars in Space. I don’t think it’s really called that, in fact I think it’s The Fast Saga, but it should be called Cars in Space. So have I just let slip a spoiler? Probably not if you’ve seen the trailer or if you’ve actually seen the movie of course.
But in any case – I’ll give you a big warning right now, this is one of those rare occasions I will tell you NOT to read on or watch the embedded video, if you haven’t seen the movie or even the trailer (which mostly tells you everything anyway), because there are going to be huge spoilers ahead. On the other hand if you have seen it, or just don’t care, then here’s what I thought of the newest car movie out, which you can actually see now that – Thank God – the cinemas are open again.

In some classic movies and TV shows, the cars became as big, if not bigger, icons than the human stars. Now we can’t imagine those films without the famous cars – well actually Bristol Street Motors can. It’s dug out the vehicles that might originally have featured, and created posters revealing the would-be alternatives. Some of the cars are quite surprising, but none moreso than the fridge!

I’m looking forward to seeing the third instalment of the Bad Boys film series once again starring Will Smith as Mike Lowrey and Martin Lawrence as Marcus Burnett – two Miami police detectives.
Just over a week ago I attended the first ever UK edition of FuelFest, a car meet and show organised by Cody Walker, brother of the late Paul Walker, star of the Fast & Furious franchise. Cody founded the event in honour of his brother and to raise funds for, and continue the work of, the Charity founded by Paul – Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW).
