If you want style and panache from a car you might want to take a look at European brands that are funnelling the essence of continental catwalk fashion into the themes and aesthetics of their automobiles. I previously reviewed the DS7 Crossback, which encapsulates this ethos, but if you don’t need something quite as commodious then take a look at this lovely crossover SUV from the Citroen spin-off brand DS.
If you’re here, here in the UK that is, you can’t have this car. It’s like automotive forbidden fruit. Now you’re curious right? Especially when I tell you that you’re looking at the most powerful production four-door saloon car in the world. Yep, the next most powerful four-door would be the 680bhp Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.

Remember Rhino the hamster-in-a-ball who is a fan of, and then befriends, Bolt the supposed superdog in the 2008 Disney movie? Rhino is tiny and tubby, but a powerhouse of passion, puissance and pluck; naive about the world, unshakeable in self-belief, and unconcerned about any notion of conventionality.
That’s who this crazed and not-so-cuddly-and-cute, Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione, reminds me of.

The Kia XCeed recently went on sale in the UK with prices ranging from £20,795 to £29,195 (including 7-year 100,000 mile warranty) with two petrol engines sandwiching a diesel motor and a Plug-in Hybrid to follow. Trim levels include ‘2’, ‘3’ and the top level ‘First Edition’.
