If you’ve been following the latest additions to the rapidly growing electric-car segment, you’ll be familiar with both the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6. The Genesis GV60 shares its platform and drivetrain with those cars, but this is the Korean Motor Manufacturing Group’s luxury arm.
ULEZ Expansion – which will cost London 100s of millions in infrastructure and scrappage schemes, will have a virtually negligible impact benefitting the climate or London’s toxic pollution, according to Transport of London’s own commissioned report. A report that Mayor Sadiq Khan should be completely familiar with, but doesn’t appear to recognise his own data when he’s confronted by it!
It may be December, it may be freezing in the mornings, but that didn’t stop Leon Watts of Autoism who his second-ever charity classic car meet. The Christmas car meet was at Duke of London. This is a walk around of the event and the amazing Duke of London venue itself – what is Duke of London find out as there’s an interview with Merlin McCormick and Leon Watts reveals what Autoism is about. Plus a Porsche 959, new Morgan three-wheeler, a Police car from ‘Gotham City’, Ferraris, Mustangs and many other spectacular cars, including my BMW.
Since I’ve been doing a lot of content on the forthcoming ULEZ expansion (see links below) someone kindly tipped me off that a protest was going to be staged outside the headquarters of Transport for London (TFL) today. I headed down there, perhaps to lend my support, but more to see if I could find credible, knowledgeable and articulate people to confirm that the ULEZ Expansion due to come into force next August, is actually more harmful than beneficial, particularly at this present time.
Are we going back to the 70s, is it all doom and gloom, why don’t supercars stand out anymore, where have all the cool cars gone, am I biased, and was Lexus just a fake German car?!

With the ULEZ Expansion for 2023 being a hot topic, I grabbed former Top Gear presenter, Motoring Expert and TV Personality, Quentin Wilson, as well Ian Plummer from Auto Trader, the most influential car classifieds organisation in the UK, to get their thoughts on the ULEZ Expansion. This was at the London EV Show, where I was the Conference Coordinator
Following on from the success of the inaugural London EV Show at the Business Design Centre in London in December last year, it was back this year (29 November – 1 December 2022) several times bigger, with an attendance of thousands, over 170 exhibitors, and more than 140 speakers across two conference auditoriums operating simultaneously. And guess who was responsible for running both of them efficiently?
