Audi S3 Saloon review

Beefed up little exec is quick, but is it worth paying extra over the regular A3?

This decent looking little Audi executive class saloon has a bit of a wild streak. Note the ‘S’ ahead of the 3 rather than ‘A’. That means it has 310bhp, Quattro all-wheel drive and 0-62mph in under five seconds! Thanks to a turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that also puts out 295lb ft of torque put to the ground through a 7-speed dual clutch auto. Top speed is limited to 155mph.

Here’s my quick drive review of the latest plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the current Ford Transit van. We don’t normally review vans and commercial vehicles on this channel, but it’s interesting to get an insight into how far vans have come and developed in terms of ease of driving, noise vibration harshness (NVH) and refinement and quality. There’s a quick look at the space available, the front compartment, but mostly it’s about the drive and the something of a surprise reaction on throttle application! Bored!! Going Live While Charging an EV [with Partha Srinivasan]

Things got a bit silly when I went InstaLive yesterday

After recording the drive section of my review of the all-electric Peugeot E-208, I had obviously depleted the mileage range. I decided to give it a full charge. That meant sitting in the Morrison’s car park at a Genie Point charger for an hour. So I went live online. And ended up with a guest – my good buddy Partha in India.
