It’s not the SUV you need, it’s the SUV you deserve

This isn’t my first time reviewing an Alfa Romeo Stelvio. I reviewed both the 510bhp Quadrifoglio and 280bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged four cylinder when they first came out about four years ago. For the latest model year generation, the Stelvio has received a few enhancements. But here’s a sage piece of advice: never pass up an opportunity to drive a Stelvio. Audi S3 Saloon review

Beefed up little exec is quick, but is it worth paying extra over the regular A3?

This decent looking little Audi executive class saloon has a bit of a wild streak. Note the ‘S’ ahead of the 3 rather than ‘A’. That means it has 310bhp, Quattro all-wheel drive and 0-62mph in under five seconds! Thanks to a turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that also puts out 295lb ft of torque put to the ground through a 7-speed dual clutch auto. Top speed is limited to 155mph.

Here’s my quick drive review of the latest plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the current Ford Transit van. We don’t normally review vans and commercial vehicles on this channel, but it’s interesting to get an insight into how far vans have come and developed in terms of ease of driving, noise vibration harshness (NVH) and refinement and quality. There’s a quick look at the space available, the front compartment, but mostly it’s about the drive and the something of a surprise reaction on throttle application! Citroen Ami Review

Is this a 21st century Citroen 2CV, is it genius, is it even a car?

The Citroen Ami is like no other car. And that’s partly because it isn’t quite a car. Technically it’s a Quadricycle – a four-wheeled vehicle with limitations on performance (it can’t exceed 28mph) and weight (it must be well under 500kg). In many European countries these can be driven without a driving licence; in France from just 14-years old. In the UK you need a scooter licence at minimum – so you’ve got to have passed your compulsory basic training.

2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR Review

Make the most of this beast of an SUV while you still can!

Less than four seconds, 3.8 to be exact. That’s how quickly you’ll reach 60mph having started from rest in a Jaguar F-Pace SVR. Your jaw will have dropped in shock, you’ll forget to breath, your neck will be pinned against the headrest and a your ears will be pummelled by savage guttural roar. Meanwhile your partner will be berating you to slow down, the children will be whooping and laughing in the back, and the wide-eyed dog will be slammed into the back window confused as to how that tree he just had his eye on, shrank so quickly.

McLaren 620R Review

About as hardcore as a road car can get, superb at the right place and time

If you’ve only just managed to get your head around McLaren’s unique model range structure, go full face-palm now, because the arrival of recent new offerings from the supercar maker signal that’s all about to change. So here then is the McLaren 620R which the company says concludes its Sports Series lineup which featured the 570, 600 and from which was also spun a pure race car in the form of the 570S GT4.

2021 Citroen C4 and e-C4 Review

Best of all worlds for the family in a choice of ICE or EV

The all-new Citroen C4 is a little perplexing  at first acquaintance. With styling inspired by the classic Citroen GS, it’s a kinda crossover yet is as much a rival for a Toyota Corolla or Ford Focus as it is for C-HR and Kuga. Citroen give you one car where others may offer two – including within its own family group as this shares its platform with the Peugeot 208 and 2008.
