Approaching the start of any January, one must always be optimistic about the outlook ahead. It’s vital to inwardly, discreetly, whisper to oneself, with some forceful conviction: ‘THIS is going to be my year.’ In December 2021, winding up what actually turned out be a fantastic, fruitful and fun month, there was undoubtedly more confidence than usual in that forward-looking affirmation for 2022.

The later half of 2022 has seen my YouTube channel surge, with some top performaning videos and rapidly increasing subscriber numbers. Followers remain pretty steady on Instagram, but I’ve also seen substantial interaction on TikTok, more in terms of views than overall follower count. In general, it’s all been very positive, though in the fiercely competitive digital world numbers rule! Only Facebook continues to disappoint, though I see that as a general trend in social media. Here’s my top performing posts of 2022.

With the ULEZ Expansion for 2023 being a hot topic, I grabbed former Top Gear presenter, Motoring Expert and TV Personality, Quentin Wilson, as well Ian Plummer from Auto Trader, the most influential car classifieds organisation in the UK, to get their thoughts on the ULEZ Expansion. This was at the London EV Show, where I was the Conference Coordinator
Following on from the success of the inaugural London EV Show at the Business Design Centre in London in December last year, it was back this year (29 November – 1 December 2022) several times bigger, with an attendance of thousands, over 170 exhibitors, and more than 140 speakers across two conference auditoriums operating simultaneously. And guess who was responsible for running both of them efficiently?
It’s been confirmed today that London Mayor, Sadiq Khan’s plan to expand the ULEZ (ultra low emissions zone) to over the whole of the Greater London area, will go ahead from 29th August 2023 – that’s next year. This may affect you if you live in the outer London area and own a petrol car built before 2005 and a diesel car built before 2015.
