Described as ‘an essential guide to one of the most revered classic car brands worldwide, featuring sleek photography and witty commentary’. Lots of history, fun anecdotes, great pictures, some bizarre Bugs and a great insight into the character & charisma of VW.
Remember the days of the hot hatch battles, where every manufacturer from Ford to Peugeot and Honda would vie for the crown with the standard-bearing Volkswagen Golf GTI? Frankly, they appear to be over. And the VW has emerged victorious by dint of being the last man standing.
Meet the newest, biggest and fanciest member of Volkswagen’s all-electric ID range of passenger cars. The ID.7 rolls out at nearly five metres long, sets a new benchmark for luggage capacity and yet achieves a drag coefficient of just 0.23 Cd, letting it slice through the air with the serenity of a swallow.

The Volkswagen ID.5 is the ‘coupe’ version of ID.4, which is a crossover family SUV-style electric vehicle. And by ‘coupe’ we don’t mean it loses the rear doors, but that it gets a more fastback-like sloping rear roof-line. Cynical but enticing marketing terminology aside, there’s no question the ID.5 is the better-looking sibling, and compared to its smaller ID.3, this is the more grown-up proposition.
