Oh Lord – let this be my Groundhog Day! No less than NINE iconic cars driven at the annual Southern Group of Motoring Writers (SGMW) Heritage Day at Beaulieu National Motor Museum. And some I never got around too: Classic Mini, Citroen Traction Avant, Vauxhall Viscount, Classic Ford Transit van, Citroen BX GTI, plus a couple of hot BMW M cars, the Bullitt edition new Ford Mustang, and yet still more.
The ‘Celica Supra’ became just the ‘Supra’ with the second generation A60 version in 1981 and a legend was born. That’s a car I actually owned and you can read my fond memories of it in a previous blog post.
The cat’s out of the bag, or rather the Supra is. A leaked video has revealed the all-new Toyota sportscar in all its glorious sound and fury. In it the Toyota President, Akio Toyoda says ‘I think we need a Supra story again’.
