The bZ4X is Toyota’s first full electric vehicle offering, which may come as something of a surprise from the world’s biggest car company, coming at least five years behind much of the rest of the car industry, despite Toyota being among the pioneers of hybrid technology.
In the ever-evolving world of electric vehicles, BYD has dived into the market with its latest offering, appropriately enough called, the Dolphin. This all-electric C-segment hatchback is making waves with its affordable starting price of just £26,000.
Look past that infamous elongated signature BMW kidney grille and this might well be the most elegant and handsome BMW 7 Series since the late 1990s E38 iteration of the flagship. The latest G70 looks the part, although the shock of just how humongous this thing is, takes a while to sink in when you encounter it. View it head on, and you think at first, it’s an SUV.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 broke the mould with its retro-futuristic styling that fused imposing boxy lines with charismatic angles and detail touches like matrix lighting. The family SUV was going to be a hard act to follow.
Don’t bother reading this review. This car won’t appeal to you. At least that’s what the market research must be telling the car industry. Apparently, nobody wants small, fun, front-engined, rear-driven, impractical sports cars, powered by an ‘old-fashioned’ petrol engine and featuring three-pedals, not even at sub-£30.
Some car manufacturers are finally beginning to understand rule number three of making electric cars – the first two being: the batteries should always go in the floor, and style the exterior to offer the least possible resistance to the wind – in other words, make it aerodynamic. The third rule however, supersedes the first two, and it is simply this – there are no rules.
This is the brand new 2023 Suzuki Swace. You’re looking at the pictures on this page and thinking one or both of two things: a) that it looks exactly like the previous Suzuki Swace and/or b) it looks a lot like a Toyota Corolla Estate.
