This is the all-new second generation Kia Niro, a hugely important car for Kia. Here in the UK, with around 78,000 sold, it’s their second biggest selling model after Sportage. The new Niro is 65mm longer, 20mm wider and 10mm taller with a 20mm longer wheelbase.

Check out my review from the European Media Launch in Sweden of the new 2023 Nissan Qashqai E-Power with an all-new extended-range style hybrid drive system which features a petrol engine aboard that acts as a power generator to charge the battery. The car is driven solely by the electric motor, however there is a very clever management of sound that simulates the feel of driving a petrol car under hard acceleration while peddling an EV most of the time. #BCGNissanQashqai

Continue reading “My latest motoring spread in Asian Leader – 25 May 2022”This is the Toyota Yaris Cross, which is more than just a jacked-up Yaris, but less than an actual SUV, more crossover and hence ‘Cross’. It may look very different and certainly feels bigger, but it’s actually built on the same platform as the current Yaris, but then so is the Prius. It doesn’t lack presence, particularly in the Bi-tone brass gold of the test car. The styling is quite angular, with a surprisingly blunt and somewhat aggressive front end.
