Because the reality is this: the car isn’t the problem. In fact, the car has been one of the greatest enablers of freedom, opportunity, and progress in human history. And it still is.
If alarm bells aren’t ringing, they should be! An extinction-level event is unfolding right under our noses. And no one seems to be doing anything thing about it. According to new research from CarGurus, the number of manual gearbox cars available in the UK has dropped a shocking 57% over the past decade. In 2015, you had 192 new car models you could buy with a manual. Now? Just 82. That’s it. That’s your lot. Let that sink in.
Sometimes the news hits you with something so utterly ridiculous, so mind-meltingly daft, you can’t ignore it. So here we are. Hold onto your steering wheels. Because apparently, 20mph wasn’t slow enough – now they want to cut urban speed limits to 10mph. Yes, TEN. And no, check the date below, this is not an April Fool’s Day post.
