The anti-car march continues – from London to Scotland to other parts of the world, this is getting very depressing for car lovers.
A couple of weeks ago, SNP’s Net Zero Minister, Michael Matheson, said that the Scottish government is looking to cut down car usage by 20% by 2030. He went further, and this is also in his Strategic Transport Report, that the era of catering for unconstrained growth in private car use is well and truly over. WHAT?!

A proposed ban for the sale of brand new cars featuring Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) running on either petrol or diesel, was originally mooted for 2040. In February it was brought forward to 2035 after experts revealed Britain would not meet net zero emission targets committed too. Apparently it still wasn’t enough, because now it’s moved to 2030 – just nine years from now. What will it mean for you the motorist?

18112020 #BCGBulletin – Petrol and Diesel (ICE) new car sales to be banned in Britain from 2030 – today the government has confirmed what the news announced a few days ago when I recorded this video. Hybrid cars will be allowed to continue to 2035, but otherwise manufacturer can only sell electric cars – this is supposed to happen in a mere 9 years.
