Video from yesterday at the British Motor Show Pop-Up at Marshall BMW in Hook with Tim Shaw of CAR S.O.S and Sam Hard of Hard Up Garage, where I put my 1989 BMW 325i SE E30 on display ( #BCGBMWE30 ) – here’s a full walkaround of the show with Sam and an in-depth unfiltered chat with Tim Shaw.
I was invited by Motul to take my classic 1989 BMW 325i (E30) to the historic Shelley Walsh Hill Climb to take part in the Driver School – find out what the experience was like, what time I did in my car, and if I managed to get quicker during the day. Plus a genuine Shelby Cobra that has also appeared in a film with Elvis Presley and a chat with 2014 FIM World Superbike Champion, Sylvain Guintoli who did the hill in his personal McLaren supercar.
Yesterday I joined the first Anti-ULEZ Expansion rolling protest convoy into the heart of London, on one of its busiest weeks as it preps for King Charles’ Coronation. I drove my classic 1989 BMW 325i SE (E30) – follow #BCGBMWE30 or click here for full blog.
I catch up with my old Dubai buddy, PR professional, Tom Conway-Gordon in the Ultimate Podcast Machine – which of course is my 1989 BMW 325i E30. It’s black, and Tom runs a car fan Instagram Page – AnyColourSoLongAsItsBlack So while he was keen to see and snap the E30, I took him for a drive and a chat!
The day they took our cars, was the day they took dad. It was way back in the mid-2020s, right when the crackdown… can I say that now? Dare I? I guess it’s been long enough. Anyway, it was back when the good cars all first started disappearing.
