Petrolhead ≠ Politically Incorrect: I don’t Rev for the Right, but nor do I Line-Lock for the Left!

Some think that if you enjoy the sound of a V8 and a whiff of burnt rubber, you’re a climate-denying dinosaur. Time to set the steering straight

I know that I’m pigeon-holed sometimes. And I know why. I love cars, especially big hairy monstrous motors that smoke their tyres and obliterate decibel detectors.

Yes, my name is Shahzad and I’m an Autoholic. I confess the thrum of a V8 turns me on, octane is my cologne, and a gear-snatching, wheel-twirling thrash up a twisty road is my therapy. Cyclists are annoying, traffic cameras are the enemy, and the Highway Code is a quaint little booklet that’s just the right thickness for the wobbly leg of my coffee table.

And most damning of all, I refuse to apologise for any of this.

It’s all about stories – but will there be a happy ending?

We live in a world of stories. Always have, always will. True stories, serious stories, funny stories, unbelievable stories, make-believe stories and fake stories.

Because the reality is this: the car isn’t the problem. In fact, the car has been one of the greatest enablers of freedom, opportunity, and progress in human history. And it still is.

Have I Sold Out to EVs? What Real Car Fans Need to Know

Accusations are sparking debate, so it’s time to set the record straight

Apparently, I’ve sold my soul to the Shaitan of the socket, the Devil of DC current, the archdemon of amperes! That’s what some people in the comments section of my YouTube channel have taken to ranting about.

Why? Because I’ve committed blasphemy, done the unthinkable, driven the undrivable… yes… I’ve reviewed electric cars. Shock, horror… and more SHOCK! Like, put me in the electric chair level SHOCK!

Preserving Motoring Culture: Is Car Fiction Crucial?

Just back from the Self-Publishing Live Conference, pondering if it’s my duty to keep writing stories like ‘The ULEZ Files’

What role does storytelling play in preserving motoring culture? After attending the Self-Publishing Live Conference, I’m reflecting on my journey as an author, my first novel ‘The ULEZ Files’, and my next venture as a book publisher. I ask the question: is it my duty to write more car fiction?
