As motoring journalists, we’re often handed the keys to brand-new cars, fresh off the factory floor. We take them out, put them through their paces, and deliver verdicts on how they drive, handle, and perform. But here’s the kicker: while we can tell you how a car feels when it’s still got that new car smell, we can’t predict what it’s going to cost you five years down the line when the warranty has long since expired and the miles have piled up.
Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting BYD’s new UK headquarters in Uxbridge, where I got up close and personal with their latest models. Among the range was the BYD Seal, which I’d previously reviewed in its all-wheel-drive (AWD) form. This time, though, I had the chance to take the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) version for a spin. London Mayor Sadiq Khan, has expanded the ULEZ – Ultra Low Emission Zone – to cover the whole of Greater London right up to the M25 in some places, from 29th August 2023 (See first pinned video below), making London the largest low emission zone in the world.
