Over-70s Licence Rule Changes Coming!

Major changes to the driving licence rules for over-70s are on the horizon. Here’s what you need to know

If you’re 70 or over and still enjoying the freedom of the open road, change is coming – and sooner than you might think. The Government has confirmed that this autumn it will launch a public consultation on proposals to overhaul licence renewal rules for older drivers. At the heart of the plan? A new requirement for mandatory eye tests every three years, replacing the current self-declaration system. It’s part of the biggest shake-up in road safety regulations since 2006, and it could mean the difference between keeping your car keys or handing them in.

Ferrari vs Lamborghini – Supercar Showdown at Festival Italia!

Yesterday I was working with UK’s largest Supercar Club, Drivers Union as a commentator for this amazing supercar demo at Brands Hatch for Festival Italia

Brands Hatch came alive with the sound of Italian horsepower last weekend as Festival Italia 2025 rolled into town – and if you thought this was going to be just another Sunday at the races, think again. The Drivers Union Supercar Club brought the heat with a parade of Italian icons that had the crowd’s necks snapping like they were watching Wimbledon in fast-forward.

I wasn’t just a spectator – I was on the mic, perched trackside, commentating as some of the rarest, most desirable, and downright outrageous machines took to the famous Brands Hatch tarmac. And while the whole line-up was spectacular, there was one pairing that stood out – the ultimate face-off: Ferrari 275 vs Lamborghini Countach.

BCG Therapy Session Live – EV Charging, Meh Modern Metal & Ferraris

What do you get when you plug in a Polestar 4 at a supermarket car park, call a mate and go live? One of the most real, raw, and unfiltered chats about the state of cars today

So there I was – sitting in a Morrisons car park in Queensbury, Polestar 4 plugged in, charging away and with time to kill. Time to go live on Instagram. The impromtu session turned into a fun and controversial chat with a sudden surprise guest giving us a sneak peak into some sensational classic cars. A full-blown BrownCarGuy Therapy Session for Petrolheads. I was joined by long-time friend Reza Adil, and later by David from Huxley Automotive, who casually walked us around a garage full of jaw-dropping classics.

UK Drivers Are Keeping Their Cars for 10 Years – And That’s a Good Thing!

The average car on British roads is now nearly a decade old – and that’s not bad news. With soaring new car prices, complex tech and finance fatigue, many drivers are saying: “No thanks!” to new motors

Remember when cars were affordable, simple and didn’t require a degree in Rocket Science just to adjust the wing mirrors? You don’t have to, because those cars are still around it seems, as a growing number of UK are hanging onto their cars longer than ever. According to the latest stats, the average age of cars on British roads is now nearly 10 years old (9 years and 10 months to be exact). That’s the oldest ever recorded.

Now some commentators – especially those flogging EVs and finance deals – are wringing their hands, warning it’s “bad for the environment” and “slowing the transition.” But hold on a minute. Is it really? Or could it be quite the opposite? Let’s take a closer look.

Are Car Companies Going Woke? The Culture War Is Coming for Your Garage!

From rainbow-draped showrooms to politically-charged ad campaigns, the car world isn’t just about performance and price anymore. Are car companies really going “woke”? Or just trying to survive in a world where identity drives everything?

Once upon a time, all you had to ask was: “How many cylinders has it got?” Now? You need to ask if your new car aligns with your values, supports environmental justice, and – heaven forbid – won’t get you cancelled on your Facebook feed. Welcome to motoring in 2025. Forget horsepower. This is about identity politics. And the car world is tearing itself apart trying to figure out where it stands.

Is Driving Wrecking Your Back? Top Tips to Stop the Pain!

Millions of UK drivers suffer in silence as back pain, neck stiffness and sore knees turn daily drives into a chore. But with a few clever tweaks, you can rediscover comfort behind the wheel. Here’s how

Let’s face it. As we get older, our bodies don’t quite behave the way they used to. The knees creak, the back protests, and after an hour on the M1, you feel like you’ve done three rounds with Tyson Fury. Older drivers are not suffering alone – more than 6 million drivers in the UK are over the age of 70, and over 1.5 million are well into their 80s.

Speeding Fine Loopholes – How to Get Your Ticket CANCELLED (Legally!)

Think you’ve just been caught speeding? Don’t panic – your ticket might not stick. Here are five real-world legal loopholes that UK drivers have used to get fines cancelled… completely legally

Some drivers slam the brakes when they see a speed camera flash. Others lose the will to drive knowing they are done for, and that there’s no reprieve. Or is there? What if I told you that your speeding fine might not be as rock-solid as they want you to believe?

Welcome to the glitch in the matrix – where bureaucracy stumbles, signs disappear, and the law plays catch-up. Yes, there really are loopholes in UK speed trap enforcement – and believe it or not, they’ve worked for plenty of people, including one very famous David Beckham. Let’s break it down – what the law says, what real cases have shown, and how you might be able to challenge that dreaded Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP).

New Ford Fiesta! Electric? Could it Really be Coming Back?

Just two years after killing off the UK’s favourite hatchback, Ford might be bringing the Fiesta back – but this time, it’s electric and probably a rebadged VW

Just two years after killing it off, Ford is bringing the Fiesta back from the dead. But before you start celebrating, hold your horses – this isn’t the fizzy, fun, chuckable little hatchback we all knew and loved. This time, it’s electric. Possibly German. You couldn’t make it up. In 2023, Ford proudly shut the door on the Fiesta after 47 glorious years and 22 million sales. It was Britain’s best-selling car for over a decade – an icon, a legend, a rite of passage. And then poof – gone. Why? Because Ford thought it would be more profitable to sell big, posh, high-riding EV crossovers instead.

Well… about that.

Japan Outsmarts Trump? New US–Japan Deal Shakes Up Global Car Industry

Massive new trade deal cuts tariffs for Japanese cars to 15%, leaves EU carmakers reeling at 35%, and accidentally supercharges JDM hybrid culture in the process

Well, no one saw this one coming, did they? In what may turn out to be one of the most significant moments in modern automotive geopolitics, Japan and the US have quietly signed a trade deal that slashes tariffs on Japanese car imports into America down to just 15% — and, wait for it, with no import quotas whatsoever. That’s right. The floodgates are open.
