Just when you thought The Grand Tour had driven off into the sunset, the legendary trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are back once again! But this time, it’s not very grand, and there may not be much Touring – at least, not according to the title of the new show.
Car S.O.S. (Car Sausage) is back for a brand-new Series 13, and once again, I had the absolute pleasure of catching up with the legends themselves – Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend in an exclusive interview, in which we covered everything from the cars on the show, the celebs involved (including the one that said ‘no’!) and Tim’s mid-life crisis and hair dye fiasco!
Let’s take a moment to appreciate one of the coolest cars ever created – the original 1966 TV series Batmobile. It wasn’t just a car; it was a Bat icon. Based on a 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car, this beauty was brought to life by the legendary custom car guru George Barris. With just $15,000 and a 15-day deadline, Barris worked his magic to transform the Futura into the sleek, rocket-inspired Batmobile we all know and love. It featured those fabulous bubble canopies, flaming exhaust, and gadgets galore – basically, it was the Batcave on wheels!
