The extra cost burden will prevent careworkers from visiting those in need
The ULEZ expansion will hit NHS care workers the hardest. This will endanger lives even though saving and prolonging lives is supposedly the premise of the ULEZ Expansion according to London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
Professor Martin Green, who is chief executive at Care England has revealed that the expansion and a £12.50 daily charge would cost an average full-time care worker, an extra £244-a-month.
There are currently 230,000 care workers in London, earning on average just under £24,000 a year. So it would be like a 15% tax on their take-home pay.
