Polestar O₂ Concept has its own Autonomous Camera Drone!

Electric sportscar concept from Volvo’s EV brand Polestar

This is the electric Polestar 02 – don’t get too excited, it’s just a concept car. Having said that though, Polestar does have a habit of building its concepts. Ooo… I hope they do. I quite like the look of this.

Though I’ve got to say, with the roof up, this two-seat roadster does look a little like a Nissan Z car, with a hint of Porsche Taycan directly from the front. The so-called Polestar ‘Hero Car’ may look derivative, but it’s got some cool new features like improved recyclability thanks to neatly labelled graded Aluminium and an interior made of mostly one substance – a thermoplastic mono-material. Okay, that’s not that cool, but this is: It has an autonomous cinematic drone that you can deploy from its backside, and which will fly around the car, filming stunning hero shots, making you the star of your own Polestar advert. Or helping me get great footage for reviews. Hmm…
